LNG Exporter Main Countries To Japan, Korea and China, And Their Netbacks At The End Of November 2015

2.3. Sources of LNG imports

Qatar was the big supplier of LNG to Japan, Korea and China with

2.700 million tons or 24.1% of total Japan, Korea and China LNG

imports in November 2015, followed by Australia with 20.1% and

Malaysia with 14.5%. Whereas Algeria exported about 125 thousand

tons of LNG to Japan and Korea.

The Arab countries LNG exports to Japan, Korea and China totaled

3.800 million tons - a share 33.9% of total Japanese, Korean and

Chinese LNG Imports during the same month.

2.4. LNG Exporter Netbacks

With respect to the Netbacks at NE Asia markets, Russia ranked

first with $7.13/million BTU at the end of November 2015, followed

by Indonesia with $7.03/million BTU then Australia and Malaysia

with $6.98/million BTU. And LNG Qatar’s netback reached $6.81/

million BTU, and LNGAlgeria’s netback reached $6.49/million BTU.
