Ministerial Council
The Ministerial Council is the supreme authority of the Organization, responsible for drawing up its general policy, directing its activity, and laying down the rules governing it.
The Ministerial Council is composed of the ministers of petroleum of each of the member countries or an official enjoying a comparable degree of responsibility for petroleum affairs. The chairmanship of the Council rotates annually among the representatives in the alphabetical order of their countries.
Its meetings are convened at least twice a year. Extraordinary sessions may be convened at the request of a member country or the Secretary General.

- In 2010: He moved to work in South Africa, at the headquarters of Chevron Africa and the Middle East where he became the Regional Director for Central and South Africa, until the end of 2010.
- In January 2011: He joined the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation – EGPC as the Vice – Chief Executive of EGPC for Foreign Trade.
- August 2011 - February 2012: He took over the position of the Vice- Chief Executive of EGPC for Internal Trade in addition to serving as a Deputy for Foreign Trade.
- From March to August 2013: He took over the post of the Vice- Chief Executive of EGPC for Operations in addition to his work as Deputy for Foreign Trade.
- From August 2013 to Sep., 2015: He was assigned to be The Head of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).
