remained at 2011 levels, i.e. 8,044 thousand b/d in 2011, and Arab countries’
petroleum products production amounted to about 6,558.7 thousand b/d, a decrease
by 6.1%, compared to 2011.
Furthermore, the Report reviews the oil and energy consumption levels in
OAPEC members and other Arab countries.
Part IV
of the Report highlights oil
and petroleum products consumption, by product, and consumption of other sources,
representing natural gas coal, and hydroelectric energy. Energy consumption in the
Arab countries totaled 13.6 million boed in 2012, including 6.3 million boed of crude
oil and petroleum products, and nearly 7 million boed of natural gas.
Part V
of the Report reviews oil and natural gas trade in OAPEC members and
other Arab countries, covering data of crude oil, petroleum products, and natural gas
imports and exports.
Part VI
tackles average spot prices of Arab and global crudes, monthly and
annual spot prices of OPEC basket and energy products prices in local currencies
and US dollars for the period 2010-2012.
Part VII
refers to oil and natural gas transportation. It reviews the number and
tonnage of oil tankers, and pipeline grid available in the member countries.
Part
VIII
contains data on electricity relating to installed capacity, maximum electrical
load, generated and consumed electrical power, and installed generating capacity
by type of generation.
Part IX
provides sources, definitions and conversion factors
used in the Report.
