The
first part of this report presents an analysis of international developments
related to the supply and consumption of oil and energy and their impact on the
demand for oil from member countries, as well as the revenue from petroleum
exports and its impact on the process of economic development.
This part also review Arab and international developments in the
different stages of the oil industry including exploration, production,
refining, petrochemicals, natural gas production, and Arab and international
petroleum projects.
The
second part of the report covers the meetings of the Ministerial Council and the
Executive Bureau, as well as the activities of the General secretariat,
including the development of its databank, preparation of studies, organization
and participation in Arab and international seminars, and its administrative
affairs. It also includes chapters
reviewing the activities of the OAPEC’s sponsored ventures and the Judicial
Tribunal. The report is published

This
report is a comparative presentation of developments in supply, demand, and
price of oil and energy in member countries, and other Arab countries, as well
as the rest of the world since the early 1970’s.
The report is complied from information provided by official sources,
especially direct information and official bulletins of member countries and
references published by specialized regional and international institutions.
The
report also includes information on basic indicators of economic developments,
such as the gross domestic product, and the balance of payments for member
countries and other international groupings.

The
Bulletin is published in both Arabic and English.
It provides an OAPEC editorial view regarding matters affecting the
petroleum industry. It also covers
developments in petroleum and energy affairs in member countries and the rest of
the world, and the activities of OAPEC and its sponsored ventures.
It highlights statistical information of general interest related to
energy and economic growth. OAPEC
library acquisitions have a regular section in the Bulletin.
A listing of forthcoming
Arab and international seminars and conferences is also provided.
Oil
and Arab Cooperation is a quarterly journal (in Arabic) which publishes articles
submitted by energy and development specialists. Its primary focus is on topics related to the nexus between
oil and economic development in the Arab world.
The journal provides abstracts in English of the articles published. Other sections of the journal provide book reviews, and reports on seminars and conferences that are either organized by OAPEC or those it attends as a participant; in addition to bibliographies of books and articles published in Arabic and English.
This is a quarterly published in Arabic, that reviews Arab and world developments in petroleum drilling, production, and oil field development. In addition to providing statistical data, it monitors the latest developments in exploration and production technologies. The information contained in the publication is compiled from specialized Arab and international bulletins and periodicals.
Other
Publications
The
Organization also undertakes the publication of numerous books, booklets,
proceedings of seminars and conferences, as well as the translation of some
books.
To
date, the Organization has published 170 books in Arabic, English and French.
